We aim to help immigration detainees secure their release, re-start claims for secure immigration status and find stability living in the community. We do this through individual casework - helping them find sureties for immigration bail, access medical support and legal representation as appropriate. We continue working with former detainees long after their release if they request it.
As many ex-detainees lack secure immigration status they are denied basic rights and face many barriers to integration. We advocate on issues related to healthcare, housing, education through direct intervention or by signposting and referral to other agencies. We work in partnership with our clients and we encourage and support self-reliance.
Kent Refugee Help aims to offer a comprehensive service and is distinct from other organizations in the field.
